ARScan2 IP Address Setup

How to Set the IP Address for ARScan2

This guide explains how to configure the SFTP settings on your PC and scanner. Setting the correct IP address is essential for the ARScan2 software to communicate with the handheld scanner over your Wi-Fi network.

Step 1: Find the PC’s IP Address

Before you begin, ensure both your PC and your scanner are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

  • On your PC’s taskbar (usually in the bottom right corner), find the green circle icon for the BLSFTP Server.
  • Right-click the icon and select Show.
  • In the BLSFTP window, click Help.
  • The IP Address will be displayed (e.g., `192.168.1.102`). Make a note of this address.

Step 2: Configure the ARScan2 PC Software

  • Open the ARScan2 application on your PC.
  • From the main menu, navigate to Tools > Options.
  • Click on the SFTP Settings tab.
  • In the Hostname field, enter the IP address you noted in Step 1.
  • Click OK to save and close the window.

Step 3: Configure the Scanner

  • On your scanner’s main screen, tap the settings icon (it may look like three dots or a gear).
  • Scroll down to find the SFTP Host Name field.
  • Enter the same IP address you noted in Step 1.
  • Exit the settings to return to the main menu.

The scanner and PC are now configured to communicate.
